Receipt of a deposit cheque or card details for 20% is required at the time of booking to secure the accommodation unless within 6 weeks of arrival, please see below.

Payment

Full payment is required to secure the booking within 6 weeks of arrival. Payment can be either by credit/debit card or cheque.

Bookings

Bookings can be made for either a weekly or three night stay. If extra nights are required these can be discussed and charged accordingly and will be dependent on availability.

Bookings are based on four people staying. We do not offer any discounts for fewer people staying. No extra beds are available.

Provisional bookings are only held for 7 days.

All online bookings are subject to confirmation by email.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellations made more than 8 weeks in advance of stay will be refunded in full.

Any cancellations made less than 8 weeks in advance of stay will be refunded if the accommodation can be re-let minus a 20% handling charge. If this is not possible, the full amount will be withheld.

We recommend that you take out the necessary travel/cancellation insurance.

No shows – the monies will be retained in full.

Loss/Damage to Property

Extra payment will be required on departure for any damage that has occurred to the property, or for loss of keys or parking permit. The standard charge for loss of keys is £75.00 and for the parking permit £170.00 due to labour/replacement costs.

Guests are to take reasonable care of the property, its fixtures, fittings and furnishings and it is to be left in the same condition and state of cleanliness as it was found. Owners of pets are requested to use ‘dog towels’ provided after walks as plain carpets are in the majority of the property.

The house will be checked after departure and any breakages or damage to property will be charged to the occupants. We reserve the right to charge for damage using a “new for old” policy.

Baggage and personal property left at the accommodation is the guests risk at all times. The owner is not responsible for any injury suffered by the occupants or others.

No Smoking

We adopt a strictly no-smoking policy throughout Millgarth. Should you choose to ignore this policy, you will be charged £100 for specialist cleaning to the house.
